Eco-Efficient Operations
We operate our vessels to high environmental standards, delivering reliable offshore operations while continuously working to minimise environmental impact.
Eco-efficient operations are about using resources efficiently, preventing pollution and managing our interaction with the marine environment. Our approach is embedded in daily operations and supported by clear procedures, recognized management systems and continuous improvement.
What we focus on
- Preventing pollution to air and water
- Minimizing impact on marine ecosystems
- Managing materials, waste and resource use
- Operating in line with environmental regulations and standards
- Working with customers, suppliers and contractors to reduce environmental impacts
Pollution & Discharges
Operating offshore involves fuels, machinery, coatings and waste. If not managed properly, this can lead to pollution of air and sea.
We work systematically to prevent and reduce pollution from our vessels by following strict requirements, applying clear procedures and focusing on avoiding unintended releases to the environment — both in our own operations and where we are linked to activities in the value chain
Biodiversity & Marine Environment
Offshore vessels and underwater activities can affect marine life — for example through vessel movements, underwater noise or the spread of species between areas. Impacts can arise both from our own operations and through activities we are connected to in the value chain.
We aim to reduce disturbance to marine ecosystems by considering environmental factors when planning operations, designing and operating vessels, and through dialogue with customers and suppliers.
Resource Use & Circularity
Eco-efficient operations also mean using resources responsibly throughout the vessel lifecycle. We work to improve efficiency in the use of energy, materials and consumables, and to manage waste in a safe and responsible way.
