The minimum requirements to serve as Master in Olympic are:
• Master CoC DO1 (STCW A-II/2)
• DP Operator Certificate
• Medical certificate seafarers
• STCW Safety training-advanced
• STCW CoP Ship Security Officer (SSO)
• GOC/GMDSS certificate
Job description
The Master has the overriding responsibility for the vessel, its cargo and crew according to national and international laws, rules and regulations. The Master is also responsible for carrying out all tasks of the vessel in accordance with governmental legislations as well as charterers and owners instructions.
